Once I left city living to live in the countryside, connectivity with the natural world is inevitable. The sun, the moon, stars, trees, clouds, hills, mountains, rivers and creeks become daily companions. Their presence is my awareness. Portraying them in a painting is a challenge. What do I want to convey other than representing them as in a photograph?
I find myself expressing my surroundings with great feelings in rich colors. Inspired by their beauty, I paint my landscapes as in festive celebration!
